Short version: Stocky was delisted from the Shopify App Store on February 2, 2026 and stops working on August 31, 2026. Shopify has moved transfers, purchase orders, suppliers and stock counts into the admin, but it has not replaced Stocky's forecasting or reorder points. Export your purchase-order history, stocktakes and cost data now — and know that Stocky cannot export your supplier list, so that part is a manual job. The checklist below takes most stores one afternoon.

- February 2, 2026 — Stocky removed from the App Store. If you uninstall it, you cannot reinstall it, and Shopify warns your data "might not be retrievable". Do not uninstall Stocky until you have everything out.
- August 31, 2026 — Stocky stops working entirely, including its APIs.
- After August 31 — Shopify says you will have read-only access to export your data "for at least 90 days". Treat that as a safety net, not a plan: nothing is being computed for you in that window.

2. What Shopify admin replaces — and what it doesn't

If you only used Stocky for transfers and the occasional PO, the admin is probably enough and you can stop reading after section 3. If your morning started with Stocky's low-stock list, you need a replacement for that — see section 4.
3. Export checklist (do this before August 31)
Everything below is in the Stocky app: Shopify admin → Apps → Stocky.
- Purchase Orders report — Reports → Purchase Orders Report → CSV. This is your most valuable file: it contains the SKU → supplier → cost pairs you will use to rebuild your supplier setup anywhere else. Individual POs can also be downloaded from Purchases one at a time (there is no bulk PO export).
- Stocktakes — Inventory → Stocktakes → export each one. Columns include SKU, barcode, cost price, expected and actual stock, and adjustments. Stocky does not keep historical stocktake exports for you.
- Current Stock on Hand and Historical Stock on Hand reports — for your own records and for cost history.
- Sales Items / Best Sellers reports — optional; any replacement app will read sales from Shopify directly, but the export is free and takes a minute.
- Suppliers — manual. Open each supplier in Stocky and copy name, email, currency, lead time and payment terms into a spreadsheet. There is no export and no report that produces this list. Ten suppliers is a ten-minute job; do it while the app is still open, not in the read-only window.
What you cannot get out at all: Stocky's forecast settings and min/max reorder values (the min/max feature was removed in July 2025) and location-level inventory views. You will set reorder rules fresh in whatever you use next — which, honestly, is a good moment to review them.
4. Rebuilding forecasting and reorder points
The part of Stocky nobody can replace from the admin is the daily "what do I need to order" list. Your options, priced as of August 24, 2026:
- A spreadsheet. Free, and fine for a few dozen SKUs. It breaks the first week you forget to update it.
- Inventory Planner (Sage), Fabrikatör, Prediko. Mature forecasting suites, priced by revenue from roughly $49–$99/month and rising to $199+ as you grow; Inventory Planner is quote-only. Excellent if you need their depth (bundles, backorders, multi-channel).

5. Migrating to Inmana Restock in about 10 minutes
- Build the supplier sheet. Start from the Stocky Purchase Orders report (SKU, supplier, cost), add the lead time and email for each supplier from your manual list. Or download our template CSV and fill it in. The importer accepts these columns, in any order, and recognises common Stocky header names:

Only SKU and Supplier Name are required. - Install and run onboarding. Step 1 sets your default lead time, safety stock and coverage days. Step 2 is the import: upload the sheet, confirm the auto-mapped columns, import. Unknown SKUs are reported and skipped — nothing in Shopify is touched.
- Let it backfill. Restock pulls your products, inventory and 30 days of order history from Shopify (read-only) and computes days-of-stock and reorder points. Typical stores finish in seconds.
- Review the "Needs reorder" list and adjust per-product lead times or safety stock where you know better than the math. Turn on the daily digest email.
- Create your first POs from the suggestions — grouped by supplier, sent as PDF, received against when the delivery lands. Receiving is the only thing the app ever writes to your Shopify inventory, with a full audit trail.

6. Questions we keep getting
Can I keep using Stocky "a bit longer"? No. It stops working on August 31; the 90-day window is read-only export only.
Do I lose my PO history? Not if you export it. It will not import into Shopify admin or into most apps as live POs, but you keep the record.
Will a replacement app change my Shopify inventory? Ask every vendor this. Restock only ever adjusts inventory when you receive a PO, and never on import.
I have more than one location. Shopify admin handles transfers. Restock's Starter plan is single-location; Growth covers three.
